2019 National History Challenge winner

Year 12 VSV and Mount St Joseph Girls’ College student, Ella B, is a 2019 Victorian winner of the Year 11-12 National History Challenge.

This researched-based competition gives students a chance to be a historian, researching world history, examining Australia’s past, investigating their community or exploring their own roots. It emphasises and rewards quality research, the use of community resources and effective presentation.

This year’s theme was People and Power. Ella wrote an outstanding piece titled, Perception of Power, highlighting women in the second world war. Ella used a range of primary sources to bring to life the struggle of people living through this time. I encourage you to read Ella’s piece by clicking here.

Congratulations, Ella!
