Almost 20 VSV students recently enjoyed connecting and making friends with other VSV students at a collaborative event with Yellow Lady Bugs at Bounce.
A highlight was students facing their fears and tackling the rock-climbing wall and the high wire course. Some also leapt into the acrobatics taught by trampoline experts.
The day was a roaring success with one parent sharing, “to see her today chatting with a group of girls and developing friendships was wonderful… Today was fantastic for her to work on those social skills. It was also helpful for me to share some time with other parents and learn what is working for their kids in dealing with the challenges of autism, schooling and generally growing up.”
VSV has been running a series of activities in partnership with the Yellow Ladybugs throughout the year. The next event will be an online reptile experience for students on 23 August.
