A stormy Melbourne day didn’t deter almost a dozen VSV parents and carers from attending the second Virtual School Victoria (VSV) parents’ gathering.

Parents enjoyed connecting with each other at For Change Café in Bellfield, a social enterprise café in the City of Banyule.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with parents benefiting from sharing experiences and mutual support.

One new parent praised the supportive atmosphere.

“As a very new member of VSV I wanted to connect with some parents/carers to share experiences. This is exactly what happened! I felt comfortable and able to chat with other parents in a safe and understanding way. It was very beneficial for me. And I have to comment on the quality of the café – so good!”

VSV parents and carers are welcome to join us at our next in-person event on 1 November in Wallan.  The camp coincides with the Middle Years Day camp, but is open to VSV parents/carers with children in all years.
