VSV students Oscar and Jack recently received top honours for their outstanding VCE results in 2023.

Oscar received a Study Award for Extended Investigation and Jack received a Study Award for Australian Politics.

This puts them among the top VCE students in the state in 2023.

Oscar’s mum, Trish, said, “We are incredibly proud of his achievements and grateful that he had the opportunity to undertake this subject through VSV.”

Oscar was a school-based student at Christian College Geelong and Jack was a school-based student at McKinnon Secondary School.

Acting Executive Principal, Malcolm McIver, said the entire school community was proud of their Premier’s VCE Award recipients.

“Outstanding achievements like this don’t happen in a vacuum and without the dedication of teachers and support of family,” he said.

310 of Victoria’s top performing students were recognised at this year’s Premier’s VCE Awards, including three international students, six students who completed the VCE Vocational Major program with distinction, and 23 Top All-Round VCE High Achievers who achieved study scores of 46 or higher out of 50 in at least five VCE subjects.
