Parent Event 4 (consent to share)

During Connect Week, VSV families came together at the Multi-Cultural Hub for a day focused on building connections. The event provided an opportunity for parents to meet in person, share experiences, and establish networks with others who have children of similar ages and interests.

Joining the event were Gail and Leanne from Parents Victoria, a statewide organisation supporting and representing parents in Victorian government schools.

Almost 25 parents attended in person, with additional families connecting afterward through the digital platform set up for the event. Discussions covered a range of topics, including the challenges and successes of virtual schooling. Gail from Parents Victoria led a discussion on statewide education challenges.

One of the key outcomes of the day was the practical connections made among families, allowing them to share resources and support each other’s VSV journey. Parents Victoria also provided valuable information and resources to help navigate the broader educational landscape.
