Brontë, a talented Year 11 Virtual School Victoria student, has bagged second place in the Formal Wear or Costume category at the prestigious Melbourne Royal Art, Craft and Cookery Competition.

Brontë’s entry, titled The Raincoat, stood out for its creativity and craftsmanship, beating students from highly selective schools.

Moreover, Brontë, who is studying  Unit 1-2 for VCE Product Design and Technologies, was up against other students who are completing more advanced Unit 3-4 VCE subjects.

‘Brontë’s ability to work autonomously, paired with her drive to create a beautifully crafted garment, is a testament to her dedication and skill,’ said her teacher, Brendan Fairfield.

‘The folio she submitted with the jacket was equally impressive and highlighted Brontë’s technical skills and dedication to textile design.’

Congratulations Brontë ! The VSV community is incredibly proud of you!
